Wall chasing · Eastern Suburbs
Almost every house out here is double brick, and almost every renovation needs services run through it. Chasing is the bulk of what we do in the Eastern Suburbs — straight channels cut to the conduit, with the dust pulled off the tool rather than through the house.
Local work
Chases for new circuits, power points and lighting in homes that have not been touched since the original wiring went in.
Mains and sub-main runs chased from the board out, sized to the conduit going in.
Conduit runs for data, TV, security and intercom, kept clear of the power.
Chases and cores so split-system lines run inside the wall instead of down the outside of it.
Channels for water lines and small waste runs in brick and block.

Questions
Yes. On-tool vacuum extraction keeps the dust in the machine, we sheet up before we start, and we clean as we go.
Deep enough for standard conduit and no deeper. There is a limit past which cutting weakens a masonry wall, particularly on long horizontal runs, and we will not go past it.
