Sydney & the Eastern Suburbs

Concrete
cutting

Every kind of cut, one crew, one call. We cut reinforced concrete, brick, block, stone and asphalt across Sydney — from a single power point chase in a terrace to a full slab removal on a commercial site.

What it covers

Every kind of cut

01

Slab & floor sawing

Controlled depth cuts through slabs, driveways and paths for penetrations, expansion joints, lift pits and drainage runs.

02

Road sawing

Deep cuts through asphalt and reinforced concrete for service trenches, kerb removal and civil works. More on road sawing.

03

Core drilling

Clean holes from 20mm to 600mm through walls, floors and ceilings. More on core drilling.

04

Wall chasing

Straight chases for electrical, data and plumbing runs, cut with dust extraction. More on wall chasing.

05

Hand & ring sawing

Tight-access cutting for door and window openings, air-con penetrations and small squares where the big gear won't fit.

06

Demolition sawing

Sectional removal of walls, stairs and slabs — cut to size, lifted out clean, structure left where it should be.

How the job runs

Start to finish

  1. 01

We look at the material first

Reinforced concrete, brick, block, sandstone and asphalt all cut differently and take different blades. Knowing what is in the wall or slab before we arrive is what stops a job blowing out — so the more you can tell us up front, the tighter the price.

  2. 02

    Set out before anything spins

Every cut gets marked and checked against your drawings or your marks. On a slab we check what is underneath: services, post-tensioning, conduit. A cut in the wrong place cannot be uncut.

  3. 03

    Dry with extraction, or wet

Inside an occupied building we cut dry with on-tool extraction so the dust goes into the machine. Outside, or on deep cuts, we cut wet and manage the slurry. Which one suits gets decided on site.

  4. 04

    Clean handover

The offcut comes out, the area gets swept or vacuumed, and the next trade can start. You should not be able to tell we were there except for the cut.

What it costs

What moves
the price

Concrete cutting is priced on the cut, not the hour, once we know three things: the material and how heavily it is reinforced, the depth and length of cut, and how hard the spot is to get gear to. A ground-floor slab you can drive to is cheap. The same cut on level six with booked lift access and an after-hours noise window is not. Small jobs usually carry a minimum call-out, so it is worth bundling everything you need cut into one visit.

Have this ready when you call

  • Photos of the area and the access
  • Rough dimensions — length, depth, diameter
  • What the material is, if you know
  • Whether power and water are available on site
  • Any site rules: booked hours, inductions, permits
  • Marks on the wall or slab, or the drawings to set out from

None of it is essential — we can work it out on the phone. It just gets you a firm price faster.

Questions

Concrete cutting, answered

How much does concrete cutting cost in Sydney?

It depends on the material, the depth, and how easy the cut is to get to — a couple of core holes is a very different job to a slab removal. Call with the details and we will price it up, usually the same day, before anything starts.

Do you cut reinforced concrete?

Yes. Diamond blades and core bits go through rebar and mesh. Heavy reo can slow a cut down, so it is worth mentioning when you call so the quote is right first time.

How much mess does cutting make?

Less than people expect. Dry cutting runs on-tool dust extraction, wet cutting keeps the slurry controlled and cleaned up behind us. Either way the site is left swept and workable.

Do you work weekends?

Yes, seven days, and we do early starts and after-hours work where a site or building manager needs it.

Need concrete cutting done?

Quickest way to a price is a phone call. We answer on site.
